Mother tongue for medical education...

    Our information shows that in 2004 more than 70% doctors in Maharashtra had their school education in their Mother tongue. As compared to English when they learn medicine [or anything say a movie like Sholey] in their mother tongue their brain works much faster. Most of them walk in English and fly by jet speed in their mother tongue They understand fast they retain better and remember for longer time and can tell it to others in a much better matter.
Late Shah of Iran wanted to teach medicine in Iran in their mother tongue. So he ordered and got all the text book translated in their language. Soin Iran medicine is not taught in English. But their own language.
Many Europian countries like Spain, Portugal, Germany. France, Poland, and Norway Sweden, Japan, Israel are all smaller than Most states of India. They have medical education in their mother tongue. So they make better doctors

Let us create an encyclopaedia of child health in our mother tongue. We owe it o our people. If we do not do it who will?
Let us empower our people with knowledge about child health.This will certainly reduce the10000 deaths of children that daily occur in India inspi9te of all that we do. If we share the topics and If one member writes a chapter in will be ready in no time. It can be released at the time of the next state conference. A copy can be given to each member. At least half souviner of next conference should be in your state’s language. This is not language fanatism. People who pay us money do not understand what we talk. Our communication with our patients will improve with this encyclopaedia.

Let us post it on the website of IAP central or state branch. Let us make our mother tongue the knowledge language of our people. Let us make our state’s language another official language of every branch in our state. If some one thinks this is language fanatism, forgive him/her.
